Sacraments

Baptism

Baptism’s takes place, generally, after Mass on a Sunday at 10am.  Because we have approximately eighty baptisms a year there may be two or three families at each Baptism.  Registration for a Baptism and instructions can be arranged by ringing the Presbytery on 9797 1886.

Eucharist

First Eucharist takes place in June and takes place within the weekend Masses.  This allows for smaller numbers and a more personal celebration of First Eucharist.  First Eucharist is also part of the R.C.I.A., the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults process, and part of the R.C.I.C., the Rite of Christian Initiation of Children process, and After School program and the celebration of First Eucharist is arranged at a time convenient to families upon completion of the preparation programme.

Confirmation

Confirmation is generally conferred by the Bishop in September and takes place within both the Saturday and the Sunday Masses.  Adults in the R.C.I.A. process and children in the After School process are catered for, either at that time or at a time convenient to the family.

Marriage

It is generally recommended that notice of a planned wedding be given twelve months, if possible, in advance of the wedding date.  Contact our Parish Priest and the pre-marriage preparation course in Perth can be organised and the paperwork and wedding ceremony planning can be attended to in good time.

Holy Orders

Anyone interested in becoming a Priest, a Brother or a Nun is invited to make contact, so that a way forward may be given.

Anointing of the Sick

This takes place within our parish Masses three time a year and follows on from the Healing Masses of the weekend before.  There is a Mass at Bethanie Fields on the first Tuesday of the month at 1pm and the Anointing of the Sick is given to those at this Mass and those in their rooms on a regular basis. The Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick is available at any time upon request.

Planning a Funeral

Generally once the family have contacted the Funeral Directors, arrangements are then made as to a date and time and the form of the funeral that is desired by the family.  This is done by contacting our Parish Priest on 9797 1886.
