Meetings are back again in 2024 with appropriate handwashing!

Catholic Women’s League, Leschenault is one of a number of branches throughout WA. Each branch comes under a State Council, who, in turn report to the National body.  In this way we influence legislative and administrative bodies at all levels of government in order to preserve the dignity of the human person. It has a particular interest in promoting and supporting the formation of women to meet contemporary challenges. We liaise with other organisations and faith communities for the respect of human rights with particular focus on women and children. CWL also fosters an awareness of cultural diversity and is the peak body in Australia for Catholic women. One of the ways CWL fosters ecumenism and inter-faith dialogue is through services held during the year at different Christian churches.

At our meetings we reflect on the following Sunday’s Gospel reading and plan future activities. We pray for sick parishioners and family members. At the end of our meetings we share a cuppa and delicious afternoon tea.

All ladies in Leschenault Parish are invited to come along to a meeting and see for themselves what a valuable organisation it is and consider joining.
